Mid Life Crysis Spices is a small-batch, handcrafted spice company born in the great state of Texas. We're owned and operated by a U.S. military veteran and a registered nurse — two people who know the value of showing up, doing the job right, and having a sense of humor about life.
We believe your food should taste as bold as the life you're living. That's why every blend we make carries a name that'll make you laugh — and a flavor that'll make you forget you were ever laughing.
Our Story
It started like most great things — with too much free time and a really good smoker. After leaving the military, our co-founder found himself at the backyard grill more and more, experimenting with flavors and combinations that he'd been thinking about during long deployments.
His wife, a registered nurse, brought precision and an unexpected palate to the operation. She's the one who pushed for the zodiac healing blends — "Why not cook with intention?" she said. He said sure, as long as we still call one of them "Quit Ya Bitchin."
That compromise became a company. They started at local Texas farmers markets, selling out every Saturday. Then Crunch Gyms. Then Mosaic Market in Arlington. Then VA facilities. Then Inked Magazine featured them. The rest, as they say, is seasoning history.
The First Batch
Adam's Rib Rub is born in a backyard kitchen in Mansfield, TX. Friends start begging for jars.
Grand Prairie Farmers Market
First official market appearance. Sold out by 10 AM. Immediately added more blends.
The Zodiac Line Launches
All 12 zodiac healing blends release. The internet reacts. Sales triple overnight.
VA Facilities + Inked Magazine
Products approved for sale at VA facilities statewide. Featured in Inked Magazine's veteran business spotlight.

But here's the thing — behind every ridiculous name is a blend that was tested obsessively, adjusted repeatedly, and only released when we'd eaten our own weight in whatever it was seasoning.
